The New Terminal Passengers Building will increase the number of parking spaces available, adding a new multi-story car park to offer a total capacity of 2,700 parking spaces for passengers and visitors.
The state-of-the-art cooled glass Passenger Boarding Air Bridges will include 25 bridges distributed over 12 Mars stands to allow biggest planes to land at the new Passenger Terminal Building with no effort and on the same time serving more than one plane per stand.

Passengers will enjoy a brand-new shopping experience as the new Passenger Terminal Buildings’ Duty Free area will grow to be four times larger than the existing one. The new retail areas will be three times bigger, offering greater support to tenants and partners as well, and turning the airport into a key commercial hub. Featuring a broad selection of local brands and Food & Beverage outlets, the airport will treat all customers, even transit passengers, to a taste of Bahraini hospitality, in addition to a Bahraini concept corner that will showcase the Kingdom’s traditions and culture. The commercial areas are distributed across the terminals in the departure airside, including the boarding gate piers, departure landside, and arrival landside.
